All went rather well for the first few years. But as time progressed and the King of England imposed more and more taxes on the settlers, the settlers begin to question why they were paying such exorbitant taxes for services they were not getting. One such tax was the "Tea Tax" imposed on all shipments of goods to arrive in the "New World". This led to the infamous "Boston Tea Party", where several of the town leaders in and around the Boston settlement area, dressed up as Native Americans, (they disguised themselves in the attempt to prevent the Kings soldiers from recognizing any of the rebels), under the cover of darkness, boarded the newly arrived supply ship from England, and threw all the supplies that were on board into the harbor. It was just coincidence that the ship was carrying mostly tea, had it happened a few days earlier, we may have known this event as the Boston whiskey party, or the Boston spice party.
The formation of a New Country was not an easy task, it took months of discussion and lots of research for our forefathers to finally commit to paper, the ideal they held so esteemed, "A Free Nation".
The creation of a constitution for the "United States" was not an easy task for the three main contributors of the document. Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and George Washington needed some help getting the ideals of of a free nation onto paper and making it a legal and binding document. These esteemed gentlemen agreed on the outset that the basis for the US Constitution should be modeled on the best known working model of the time, the Iroquois Nations Constitution.
